Balsa Ribbon-Cutting - February 2025

Ehlert Bryan DC was honored to be at the official ribbon-cutting ceremony along with Washington DC mayor, Muriel Bowser, for Balsa, one of the District's newest office-to-residential conversion projects that now offers 222 units of much-needed housing downtown.

This prime location at 1313 L Street NW is walking distance to a diverse selection of restaurants, national monuments, public transportation, and major thoroughfares.

Adaptive reuse like this is a win-win for cities by addressing housing shortages, restoring urban centers, and promoting sustainability.

EB Employee Spotlight: Bill McLain, PE

Bill McLain, an EB Principal, has been Managing Principal of Ehlert Bryan DC since 2015.

Outside the office, Bill enjoys triathlon training and recently completed a full Ironman race in Sweden.

Thoughts on office-to-residential conversions:

Whitlock Elementary Grand opening!

Nearly 300 Whitlock Elementary School students in Ward 7 were finally able to set foot in their newly renovated school campus on August 26, 2024!
