The Project
This 7,500 SF two-story clubhouse is part of the Southwest Waterfront redevelopment project on the Potomac River. Its location on a pier along the pedestrian promenade affords great views of the river and marina as well as public gathering spaces.
Structural features
On the water-facing side, the building uses pre-patinated copper and large areas of glass with horizontal sun screens. The structure is steel-framed with a steel beam and metal deck roof and composite concrete upper floor on steel framing.
